Cha-Cha-Changes

Again, I have not been real productive in the writing department, but a lot has happened! Kellan and I graduated from grad school, we both have our MBA's! Go us! We have also moved to Kentucky. We are living in a house that is about 3 times the size of our first apartment. It's so nice, with about half an acre of yard to mow! I enjoy having more space.

I started working at University of Kentucky Hospital on June 6th, on the Progressive Stroke Unit. I have approximately 13 weeks of orientation, so plenty of time to get acquainted with the unit and taking care of stroke patients. So far I am enjoying it and working for such a large hospital in general is so different. Well, I will try to write more. Ciao!

Life Update

Hi all-
It has been awhile, but life has so busy and hectic! So, let's update!

School finished on Thursday, YAY! So, no more papers or presentations, which is so nice!

Graduation is a week from today, the 7th, which is so crazy to think about, I swear we just started. Ha.

Europe bound May 9th, which is 9 days away! So excited about that, it will be like a second honeymoon with Kellan! We plan on taking a cooking class while we are in Budapest, along with other exciting site-seeing adventures!

I got a job at University of Kentucky Hospital on a Progressive Stroke Unit and start June 6th!! I'm really excited about this opportunity!

Last day at Community is May 4th, only 3 more shifts of that place! I'm ready, not gunna lie!

Weight loss- BIG DUD! I have lost absolutely no weight, possibly even gained it! I feel so defeated. I just haven't enough time, which is a crappy excuse, I know. But Kellan and I are utterly frustrated by it! So, I bought Brazilian Butt Lift and will start that in Kentucky when we get settled in. We both plan to work at it better once we are done with school and move. I really need to loose this weight, I feel gross when I see myself in the mirror, so that needs to change for sure!

So, that is life, exciting changes and things occurring! Still busy, busy, busy! Ready for the next thing...

O.C.S.D.

Well, we are well into our weight loss journey. I am on the fence about it. I have not seen any physical results yet, which is really disheartening! But, I do have more energy and am getting stronger! Kellan has had some weight loss and inches lost, he can really tell when he has certain clothes on. I'm excited for him. We both still have personal training sessions and I have enlisted the help of my friend Danielle to help motivate me and encourage me from Florida. She texts me daily and we share what we have done. It's nice to have someone to encourage you! I wish I could see results actually. I do get disgusted looking at myself sometimes, it's sad! But, it may just take me longer than I would like it to, but I wanna do it, I wanna be healthy and skinnier! Stay tuned....

Operation Clark Slim Down

So, Kellan and I have eaten very well since we got married, a little too well. Ha. We both realized that we need to loose weight. I am at my heaviest ever and Kellan is too. So, we enrolled in a gym at the beginning of the year and we have gotten personal training sessions as well. A big investment, but worth it for our health and life in general. We have weight lose goals and other things motivating us. We each have about 30 pounds in total to loose. That's a lot, but definitely do able. I am applying to be a nurse in the Navy Reserves and I am too heavy at this point. So, that is one motivation for me. Also, just to be healthy in general and feel good about myself and look nice for my husband. He is a good motivator as well and the fact that we are doing this together and eating healthier is nice!

We went to the gym 3 times this week! It's a start and we are both pumped to be skinnier and feel better! So, if you see us, encouragement is welcome! I will update you as Operation C.S.D. continues. Another fun journey with my husband!

Dinner

So, my intention for this blog is to, well write. It is not merely supposed to be about food, but I have been experimenting and I feel like sharing. So, this blog will be about my dinner last night, which I am pretty pumped about. Ha. Kellan has been wanting homemade meatballs, so I did a little research online and found a pretty easy sounding recipe and added a little of my own pizazz. Then, I have been on a bread making kick, thanks to my friend Kelsey. So, last night I attempted and succeeded in making homemade Italian bread from Kellan's mom's recipe. No bread maker, just ingredients, my hands and the oven. It was pretty delicious, I was impressed with myself. So, meatballs and spaghetti and Italian bread was a success. Go me!

What's Next...

Kellan and I are both currently in school to get our Master's in Business Administration. We graduate in May of this year. We are SO excited and ready for it!! The next step... Not exactly sure what it will look like. But, my hopes are that it takes me away from Indiana! We have both been praying that God opens and closes doors for us. We like the D.C. area, but it is so expensive and Kellan really wants to have a job before we were to move there. I have already gotten 2 calls about jobs there, one today from Virginia Hospital and the other in December from Georgetown. It's so exciting! Too bad we can't just flip a coin. Our other location choice would be Lexington, KY area. Which is beautiful! I would't mind living there either, and buying a house would happen much faster than if we lived in D.C. There are so many things to consider. I am just ready to move and have a bigger place and work at a different hospital. I have always told Kellan that I would go anywhere with him, and I mean that. Please pray with us that God guides us through this process so that we know where He wants us to be!

Voice of Truth

So, I was driving in my car this morning and Casting Crowns, "Voice of Truth" came on the radio. I swear, music gets to me. I started singing along and tears were pouring down my face. God has a wonderful way of reminding us of His love. He knows that music means a lot to me and He had the perfect song come on to ease my nerves and remind me that He is the voice of truth and I need to stop forgetting that. Thank you God for your little reminders and your constant love!
